Anderson isn’t a hollow that typically creates a brief list when travelers are formulation a California booze vacation. Likely it’ll be Napa, Russian River or Santa Ynez (thank you, Sideways). But something’s function in Anderson Valley — interjection to a status of a Pinot noirs and a boomlet in a hollow city of Philo.

The valley’s beauty is what initial captivated Jim Roberts to a area 25 years ago. The family-owned wineries proceed their qualification with what Roberts calls an “independent spirit.” He says that they don’t face a same vigour as incomparable wineries that try to interest to a certain customer.

But is Anderson Valley now a improved choice for booze tourism? “[It] will never turn a Napa Valley and clamp versa,” says Pamela Heiligenthal, co-founder of Enobytes.com, an online booze publication. Because a climates of a regions are so different, so are a wines.

Heiligenthal, a booze customer and former sommelier with a Wine Spirit Education Trust, adds that both regions furnish stellar wines: Anderson Valley’s are “lighter and some-more acidic” while Napa Valley’s are some-more “full-bodied and robust.”
