No matter how many times people attend a annual St. Anthony Parish Picnic, a eventuality always seems to have a dash to it.

At this year’s picnic, hold Saturday and Sunday during a high school, attendees like Eileen Doedtman attested to a event’s charm. She estimates that her initial revisit to a cruise was about 40 years ago, though she doesn’t remember a year.

“I’ve been going to a picnics as many times as they’ve had them,” Doedtman said.

And what has kept her entrance all these years? Her answer is simple.

“Beer and hamburgers,” Doedtman said, laughing.

After a few moments of thought, she stretched on that.

“I like to socialize,” she said. “And we come to support a bishopric — it’s a good approach for a bishopric to lift money.”

Nick Doedtman (no propinquity to Eileen Doedtman) attempted his fitness during a bingo tables. It was his initial time behind to a cruise in about 10 years — he was in city to applaud his grandfather’s 80th birthday.

As Lindsay Niemerg and her son Charles, 1, sat during a cruise list with a integrate hotdogs, Lindsay hoped a cruise would finish with her son sleeping good during night.

“He wants to do everything,” she said. “Hopefully it creates him tired and we can take him to bed.”

A few mins later, her father Nathan walked over with their 2-year-old, Robert.

“I consider a picnics are a lot of fun,” Nathan Niemerg said. “Coming in here, eating, personification a few games with a kids. It’s a good time.”
