The Oak Lawn Raiders Social and Athletic Club will horde a annual Winter Picnic from 1 to 6 p.m. Feb. 19 during a Homestead Barr, 9306 Central Ave. in Oak Lawn. Everyone is acquire and it’s a good approach to get to know a Raiders, who always know how to have a good time.

The Raiders is a not-for-profit classification that raises supports for charities and those in need within a community. Mike Neu has been a member of a Raiders for during slightest 20 years and authority for many of a Winter Picnics, including this year. Neu pronounced a Raiders were shaped in 1974 and a cruise started in 1978.

It’s no fluke that a date for this year’s cruise was selected to coincide with Presidents Day weekend.

Proceeds lifted from a Winter Picnic will advantage several internal causes.

“We’ll nominee a certain commission toward a Oak Lawn Raiders Memorial Scholarship that is administered by a Oak Lawn Spartan Educational Foundation, to internal charities and to people in need. We (the Raiders) try to do during slightest 5 fundraisers a year. We do them for breast cancer, to feed a needy and other events,” Neu said.

The Raiders now have 55 members from Oak Lawn and circuitously communities.

“We like to keep it during 55,” Neu said. “We have dual or 3 people on a wait list now.”

Admission concession for a Winter Picnic is $20 per person, $30 per integrate and $40 for a family. Tickets can be purchased on eventuality day during a Homestead Barr. Information on a Winter Picnic or bar membership is with Neu during 708-205-4887.
